Each year, thousands of Southeast Missouri State University alumni, parents and friends express their loyalty to the University through their annual donations. Unlike endowed gifts, annual gifts are used in the current operating year, providing discretionary funds to be allocated where they are most needed. This kind of flexibility allows the University to enhance the opportunities offered to students.
The annual giving program was established when the Southeast Missouri University Foundation was created in 1983, and there are several different ways you can give annually to the University.
All of these gifts, regardless of size, are greatly appreciated and answer a need. The first gift of a new graduate is just as important as the sizable contribution of a long-time donor. Both represent a real commitment to Southeast. Investing in Southeast through annual gifts allows you to truly make a difference in the lives of today’s students.
Annual Fund
The Annual Fund is an exciting way make a difference for students today. Approximately 2,500 alumni, parents, and friends annually renew their commitment to the University, making it possible to take timely advantage of special opportunities to strengthen a Southeast education above what our operating budget allows.
Last year alone students benefitted from the Annual Fund contributions of nearly $200,000! Without the support of generous alumni and friends like you, Southeast would no longer be able to offer a quality education at an affordable price. Your support of the Annual Fund provides the margin of excellence required for students to excel. Whether you’re a recent graduate with a new career opportunity, or a retiree looking back on your college days, you can make a difference for Southeast students.
Individual contributors of $250 or more during the fiscal year receive special recognition as members of the Copper Dome Society. Copper Dome Society members receive invitations to special events throughout the year and recognition in the Foundation Annual Report, among other things.
