The Residence Halls Association (RHA) is a student-run organization made-up of SEMO’s on-campus population. So, if you live on campus, congratulations, you’re a member!
What do we do?
- Provide a unified voice for students living in University housing
- Participate in University and Residence Life policy-making
- Encourage and facilitate inter-hall cooperation and engagement
- Discuss concerns and advocate for improvements in residence halls
- Develop programming to improve physical, educational, social, and cultural standards of living in the residence halls.
Get Involved
General Body Meetings
General Body meetings are weekly meetings run by the executive board. These meetings are held to discuss issues and events going on in the residence halls, gain valuable leadership experiences, and discuss Residence Life policies and procedures. Any is free to attend any of these meetings.
Time/Location: Tuesdays- 5:30 p.m., UC Program Lounge
Philanthropy Committee
The philanthropy committee organizes and executes service-based projects and raises awareness for different causes. Examples are Ties for Hope and the Campus-Wide Cleanup.
Time/Location: Fridays 12 p.m. - 1 p.m. in the UC, 3rd Floor Common Area
Recruitment, Retention, and Recognition Committee
The RRR committee aims to build connections within RHA, recognize achievements, and encourage students to join and return to RHA as well as make advertisements for programs, whether they’re RHA programs or programs for outside organizations. Advertisements include paper flyers, posters, chalking, etc.
Time/Location: Thursdays 9 pm- 10 pm in the RHA Office Towers Complex, suite 201E
Funding Board
The Funding Board reviews and discusses allocations as a team, interviews those requesting the allocations, and votes on whether allocations be passed and for what amount. Before requesting funds please read the Funding Requirements Document which listed the information needed to complete the form. Organizations can request funds or supplies by filling out the Funding Request Form or the RHA Checkout Request Form and submitting the form to the RHA Funding Board at least 2 weeks in advance of the event.
Time/Location: Fridays 12 p.m. - 1 p.m. RHA Office Towers Complex, suite 207E

MACURH
Midwest Affiliate of College and University Residence Halls
Mission Statement
Consistent with the Articles of Incorporation of NACURH Inc., the purpose of MACURH shall be to promote student intellectual, educational, cultural, physical, and social welfare; to design and facilitate programs and informational services; to provide an avenue for assisting students to achieve fuller participation in the life of the college community and to extend the influence and good name of our organization everywhere.
Vision Statement
In providing student resources, the Midwest Affiliate of College and University Residence Halls values diversity, advocacy, integrity, recognition, service, development, and community in on-campus learning environments.
NACURH
The operating structure of NACURH is comprised of eight regional affiliates and two corporate offices. Each region is responsible for all schools in their respective area. The two offices, the NACURH Information Center (NIC), and NACURH Services and Recognition Office (NSRO), each handle various association-wide responsibilities.

As an organization, NACURH empowers, motivates, and equips residence hall leaders by providing them with skills and resources for them to excel and positively impact their campus communities.

The National Association of College and University Residence Halls, NACURH Inc, seeks to create a network of engaged citizens sharing common experiences through residential leadership opportunities.
