Kenneth Heischmidt is a Professor in the Department of Management and Marketing at Southeast Missouri State University starting in 1985. He has served as Southeast's MBA Program Director from 1995 to 2015 and as International Business Programs Director from 1995 to 1998. He has previous experience as a faculty member at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale (1982-1984) and Buena Vista College (1984-1985). Dr. Heischmidt worked as a marketing representative for Caterpillar Tractor company from 1974-1976.

Dr. Heischmidt has taught an international study program in Europe for 27 years. He has extensive travel experience in Eastern and Western Europe, Middle East, Asia, and Mexico. Dr, Heischmidt is a past President of the North American Management Society and past President of Business and Health Administration Association. He serves on the Advisory Council of the Midwest Business Administration Association. He was a guest lecturer at Aichi University in Nagoya, Japan in the fall of 1998, 2014, and 2017.
