Your Philosophy of Teaching

I want students to value their own ability to think critically, and I encourage them to use novel ways to demonstrate their competency in providing services. I believe students should have an active role in their academic career and I am happy to help them apply the content and concepts into their clinical practice.

Why did you decide to teach?

I decided to teach because I have a wide range of experiences that would allow me to guide and prepare students for the same range of experiences as practitioners in the field of speech-language pathology. I also have a desire to conduct research that will not only contribute to the literature but also close some of the gaps in the literature. I look forward to facilitating student’s learning and development in the area of research as well.
