Southeast’s Transit Services have put guidelines in place to make the shuttle experience enjoyable and safe for all passengers.

  1. Southeast Missouri State University’s Code of Student Conduct applies to transit service passengers. 
  2. the driver will give directions should an emergency occur.
  3. Passengers should remain seated while the bus is in motion.
  4. Arms and legs should be kept in the bus.
  5. Objects should never be thrown at or from the bus.
  6. Wait for a bus in a safe place, off the road, clear of traffic, and at designated bus stops.
  7. trash receptacles are located at the front of the bus.
  8. Aisles should remain clear and the seats available for passengers.
  9. Emergency exits are to be used only in the direction of the driver.
  10. Transit buses are smoke-free.

Medical equipment and service animals are permitted on this service.

Items left on shuttle buses will be turned in to DPS.

Shuttle Passenger Conduct

Kindly follow these guidelines to ensure uninterrupted service.

  • The driver cannot pick up or drop off passengers at any location other than the designated stops. Do not ask. The only exception is for injured or handicapped individuals
  • Do not distract the driver while the shuttle is moving.
  • The driver cannot deviate from the assigned route except for traffic hazards.
  • Allow exiting passengers to leave the shuttle before you enter.
  • All shuttles are marked. Please ensure that you are on the correct shuttle.
  • Each shuttle has a list of stops located above the driver.
  • All passengers must be seated before the shuttle can proceed. Two passengers per seat.
  • Each shuttle route is on a schedule. The driver has limited time at each stop.
