Brenna Monroe-Cook is originally from Oak Park, Illinois and began her dance training at The Academy of Movement and Music and The Ruth Page Foundation. She received her BFA from The Juilliard School under the direction of Benjamin Harkavy. From 2002-2007, Ms. Monroe-Cook was a dancer with the Limón Dance Company. In 2011, she earned her MFA from the University of Washington. She rejoined the Limón Dance Company in 2013 and now divides her time between New York and Seattle. She continues to teach Limón technique and ballet, and stages Limón repertoire for companies and schools internationally. Ms. Monroe-Cook teaches at Cornish, Dance Fremont, Pacific Northwest Ballet School, and University of Washington and has performed with Ashani Dances, Catherine Cabeen & Company, Seattle Dance Project and the Chamber Dance Company. She is certified in both Gyronkinesis and Pilates.

Emily Schoen is a New York City-based dance artist, named “Top 25 to Watch” by Dance Magazine. Emily is a sought-after choreographer and educator. Baryshnikov Arts Center chose her as the Martha Duffy Resident Artist for their BAC Space Residency. She’s also won the Gibney Dance boo-koo grant for emerging artist in NYC, a Princess Grace Fellowship nomination by METdance, and various residencies including at the Tunisian National Theater. She has been Artist-In-Residence at multiple organizations, including for Jamaica Center for the Arts and Learning’s Choreographers and Composers series. She’s won commissions for Santa Barbara Dance Theater, METdance (Houston), Ormao (Colorado Springs), Columbia Ballet Collaborative (New York), and has taught for university programs all over the country. As a freelance dancer, Emily has work for Kyle Abraham/AIM; Nejla Yatkin; the Metropolitan Opera in works by Doug Varone, Mark Morris and Carolyn Choa; the Rolling Stones in their 50th Anniversary reunion tour; and for 8 years with Keigwin + Company. With Keigwin, she toured to Cote d’Ivoire, Ethiopia, and Tunisia, sponsored by Dance Motion USA / BAM and the US State Department.
