The Horizons Enrichment Center encourages independence and community interaction for individuals with special needs. This program allows guardians and caregivers respite from the full-time responsibilities of care giving.

Community Counseling Center
As an Administrative Agent for the Missouri Department of Mental Health (DMH), Community Counseling Center (CCC) is entrusted to provide a full array of comprehensive behavioral health services within five southeastern Missouri counties of Bollinger, Cape Girardeau, Madison, Perry, and Ste. Genevieve. The Center is funded by the Missouri Department of Mental Health, Cape Girardeau, Perry and Ste. Genevieve County Mental Health Boards, fees for services, grants, contracts, private and corporate gifts.
Gibson Recovery Center
The Gibson Center works to bring every individual a new chance for a better life and provides services to all people without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, or handicap. The Gibson Center is a non-profit corporation formed for the purpose of creating and operating needed substance use services. It operates under the statutes and regulations of the State of Missouri which governs organizations of this type.
Safe House for Women
The Safe House for Women is a not-for-profit, private 501(c)(3) domestic violence agency that provides safe shelter, 24-hour crisis hot line services, intensive case management, counseling, court advocacy, referral services, and education programs. The Safe House was established in 1991, providing safe shelter and a crisis hot line as a source of immediate help for victims of domestic violence and abuse.
Life Care Center of Cape Girardeau
Along the banks of the Mississippi River, Cape Girardeau, Missouri, is home to Life Care Center of Cape Girardeau, a skilled nursing and short-term rehabilitation center recently built in February 2014.
